Erin Hughes
Lab Director
Dr. Erin Hughes is an assistant professor in the department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Fairfield University. Her research focuses on the interplay between romantic relationships and the self-concept. She also studies the experiences of justice-impacted couples. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading a good book, and hanging out with her two cats. A copy of her recent CV is linked here.

Katharine Barton
Research Assistant
Katharine is a third-year undergraduate student at Fairfield University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Health Studies. She is passionate about understanding how social support and interpersonal experiences influence individuals' responses to stress, adversity, and times of crisis. In her free time, Katharine enjoys reading, pilates, and volunteering as an EMT.

Annie Casanta
Research Assistant
Annie is a fourth-year student at Fairfield University, majoring in psychology with a minor in health studies. Annie is passionate about understanding human behavior and is particularly interested in the longevity of relationships and how this impacts dependency. Annie is also interested in studying attachment styles and their implications on human behavior and relationships. She enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, and trying new workout classes in her free time.

Research Assistant
Ellie Glab is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Fairfield University. She majors in Psychology with minors in health studies and management, along with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience. Ellie is passionate about exploring how social influences shape human behavior and is particularly interested in studying the impact of close relationships on identity. In her free time, Ellie enjoys attending concerts, reading, and painting.

Research Assistant
Jordan is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Fairfield University. She majors in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience, and minors in German language. Jordan is passionate about understanding the dynamics of human relationships and how to utilize that knowledge to support's individuals mental health and well-being. In her free time, Jordan enjoys going to the beach, pilates, and spending time with family and friends.

Sage is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Fairfield University. She is a double major in Psychology and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. She is passionate about understanding how social expectations and gender roles influence relationships and behavior. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
